The American Standard has been one of the most iconic guitars in history, being made famous by anybody from Hendrix, Clapton and Jeff Beck, to John Mayer and Yngwie Malmsteen! Now fender has reinvented this legendary line of guitars to a range of Beauties that need to be seen and heard!
They’ve kept some of the tried and tested like the staggered Fender machine heads and Alnico V pickups for tuning stability and tone, and the hand-rolled fretboard edges for feel and playability but added several new features that include:
- A thinner undercoat that lets the body breathe more and improves resonance.
- A new bridge system with improved bent-steel saddles and a copper-infused high-mass block for increased sustain and resonance.
- A new neck treatment, tinted for a richer presentation, with the rosewood or maple fretboard buffed to a high gloss. The back of the neck still has that silky satin finish for easy movement.
- A new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case that will withstand the harshest of road conditions.
